I finally got my plasma cutter! Its a miller, something along the lines of what you have Morris. I got it for 500 bucks, and it is in immaculate shape! The older fella that sold it to me was from a small town Ive never heard of, south of moose jaw. Should have seen the house he lives in now, wow!!
Smokin deal Sheldon, maybe a once in a lifetime one as a plasma usually go for alot.
When are you able to try it out?
Make sure you have a good water filter or trap in your air supply or you will go thru alot of consumables in a hurry.
I hear ya Morris, ive heard you have to maintain them pretty good. Where do you go to get tips for yours? Or ahve you had to worry about that yet? I got mine with a brand new tip on it, and I think the fella said that he shopped at canadian tire for tips. Im going to be able to try it out when I go home next week! I cant wait, but the only bad thing is, right now I can only try it on an old wrecked hood!
i think it would be worth while to get them in a welding shop. not nescessarily a Miller dealer, but a dedicated welding supply shop. then you can pick up all sorts of advice while you are their for free! and yes, definetly spend the few dollars for a proper mositure trap, well worth it, especially if you are running it off a smaller compressor.
