Dustin, I`m not there yet with the rear axle but hope to soon though. I didn`t know if you`re still interested in the beast or not.

One thing I should point out is the limited slip most likely will need new clutches and that will require disassembly of the carrier.

Groan, more things to do.....
Any way to find out if it`s hooped without taking it all apart?

Jack up both sides of the truck and put it in neutral. Spin a tire and if the other side spins in the same direction then the limited slip still functions.

nope...that happens in 8 inches of wet snow, with soft muddy ground underneath, no cellphone, 18.2 miles from the nearest tractor... then you regret not buying the 4x4

Under these conditions the 56 will never leave it`s cozy garage, certainly not with any snow around.
After all this work it will be a total garage queen.

You will have to build yourself a "show" garage for that 56, it can sit next to the 65 mustang, and the 05 lariat hey lol

Hopefully the 56 will be the ''show truck'', the 05 is my toy and part time work truck.

Show trucks are cool, as long as they dont turn into trailer queens! Garage queens stay nice and non rusty though
