mass air 460 van 4x4 please read this post everyone
i`am building a 4x4 e350 van with a mass air efi 460/e4od. i`am trying to find someone that has one of these rare ford vans (not 4x4) that came equiped from factory with the EEC 5 mass air computer.(they did build them) if i`am correct they only came in a 1996 e250 with the 460 engine. i`am not sure if they came in the 350 vans because of the over 8500 gvw but they could have. some 95`s could have it to. i need the numbers off the white sticker of the ecm (computer) that is mounted on the fire wall just to the left of the brake master cylinder/ booster .(has a large wire harness pluged in to it) under the hood. you can tell you have a mass air engine in your van if there is one large aluminum sensor mounted on the air cleaner that is connected to the rubber intake tube. the numbers will look something like
f6UF-12A650-??? that is part number (example)
sometimes the numbers cant be seen without removing the computer from the firewall and sliding the plastic mount bracket off (depends on who printed the sticker) 2 nuts and 1 bolt easy 10 min job. others can be seen without doing anything but looking. you will see the sticker i`am talking about as soon as you open the hood to check your oil.
there will also be a 4 digit calibration number printed LARGE on the sticker i need this number 2 . that same 4 digit number will also be on a small white sticker on the drivers door jamb.
i need these numbers bad. all of them. so i can buy the correct computer for my engine trans combo.
there 5 different computers for this van. with a 460/e40d
some are not mass air (old style) and some are what i`am looking for
i looked everywhere and asked lots of people for this computer (in michigan) without any luck . i dont want to run the older style computer (88_94 junk) because there is a 20 hp gain using the 95-96 computer and it will support engine mods (headers ,aluminum heads, porting, supercharger, ect ) yes i said supercharger on a 4x4 van. if anyone can help me out it would make the new paint on the engine dry and make the windows rattle in my neighbors house!!!!! sorry the post is long but i`am in a bad spot. thanks for reading

i belive the computer has to be an eec5 version from a truck or van that had an e4od trans . and just might need to be from a 4x4 also. cant use one from 4r70w or a0de because there are not enough trans solenoide controls and then there is input from transfercase. mustang has non of these i think i might have my hands on one from a 97 f350 4x4 with a mass air 460. have also found that mass air came in federal and low emission ford trucks that makes it easier to find. will be running tweecer on this van.
