When i changed my fluid, i did not add any friction modifier. The LSD still works, and i do not get chattering or any wierd noises at all. Is there any problems with this or should i go ahead and add the modifier because i thoguht the modifier just helped with noise?
I'm in need of replacing the cover on mine and plan on one of the Oasis covers and Royal purple fluid, how much modifier to add??? Any thoughts? Or add till it quits chirping in tight turns. Thanks guys
Not sure if this is true or not but I heard that your mess with the aggressiveness of the limited slip by adding less friction modifier,I know that to little could over work clutches. I would like mine to lock faster.
With Royal Purple Max Gear add 0.00000 oz of friction modifier. Its already in there
Ernest after finding the 3rd different capacity in a 3rd different manual I switched to the RP and havent worried about it yet
So, how much is in the Royal Purple you now use? Is there a down side to using too much besides the lock up not engaging? I would just as soon have a non-limited slip anyway.

I've even seen two different quantities in the same manual (4oz and 8oz). I added 4oz (1 bottle) and have had no problems. My service guy says thats all he adds to his own vehicles.
