Egt probe installation

This is more informative than anything else and I do realize that I'm way behind the informational curve, but when I originally had installed my egt probe, I put it post turbo. There was a too convenient port already pre-welded and I couldn't resist. With all the annoying and teasing posts on this site about stage 1 injectors, I started to give in and became obsessed with wanting them also and figured I probably should have the probe installed in the correct spot, exhaust manifold- drivers side. After completing this process, I could not believe the difference in temp readings. Right off I noticed about 150* higher temp at highway speeds and a very reactive reading. I run about 800* at 75 mph with a crew 4wd 250 auto '97 and can get it up over 1000* with a little pedal massaging. My only mods are 3.5" downpipe, 5" exhaust, afe intake, shimmed fpr, and edge evolution set to "race" or "extreme", I can't remember what they call it.

It makes a big difference, I have read a 3-400* difference at WOT can be seen. Glad you got it in the correct place now. So when are the injectors coming in?
