Two Birds with one stone

Hello Folks. I know many of you have had a problem with your fuel pumps, now did that cuase you check engine light to come on?

Mine didn't...... I got to a point where the frame-mounted pump wouldn't pull enough pressure to crank right up when the truck was warm. I'd have to grind on it for 8 to 10 seconds before it would fire and run. Testing proved low line pressure. If you're getting a light, and you suspect a fuel system problem is related, have you considered your fuel pressure regulator? It's possible that it may be failing and creating a rich condition, which is triggering your light. This is, however, only one of a number of possible causes / scenarios. Have you run a code scan, yet?

No I havent pulled codes yet I plan to in the near future. Thanks for the help. I might bypass the codes and swap the 351 for a 460 lol.
