Don't really want to start another flame war regarding gun rights, but I found something really interesting the other day.
Did you know, according to US code Title 10, Section 311, that all US male citizens between the ages of 17 and (with some exceptions) 45 are considered militia members? Kind of blows a hole in the pro-gun-control crowd that argue, "Unless you're part of an organized militia, the 2nd amendment doesn't apply to you", don't it?
That's some cool info. Wish I had found that about 3 years ago when I did my senior term paper on gun control. I found out a lot of good stuff doing that paper too. I kinda wished I had researched the pro-gun controll side better to see if I could argue for it just for the sake of debate, but I'm against gun control (except for properly using guns) so I focused on it. It's scary the way some people want to take away our Constitutional Rights. :-X23
Gun Control - all I can say about that is that atleast you guys don't have the big mess we have up here. Check out the Billion Dollar "Mess":

Keep it Rubber Side Down!
1. Do not "push pull" too hard as a lot of force will cause the gun to waver.
2. Try to drop your elbows so they intersect the nipple lines of your body (not touching the nipples but on the same plane)- this allows for "triangular theory" and results in a very strong stance which is thoroughly rooted to the ground.
3. The weapon and your "aiming" eye should be on the center line of your body (leung yi mah).
4. Your forward foot should be parallel to the line of fire. ***NOT*** pointed at the same spot on the target but parallel to the barrel of the gun (lok mah).
5. The elbow of the arm of the front hand should not intersect the planes formed in space perpendicular to the ground by the center of the torso (dan tien) or the forward knee (sam dim yat sin).
6. The rear arm elbow and front knee should be the same distance from the body (yi gi kim yeung mah).
7. Do not focus on the target-- be aware of the target and have the target as your true intent but be more aware of the alignment of the sights (lin tao).
This is very brief but if you follow these pointers you should have decent Gun Control.
