i was at lowes today and they sell a semi gloss white rust- oleum in quarts. which is an oil base paint.
i have a 86 f250 that is already white but has 3 different layers of colors. im not looking for no 25 houndred dollar paint job, just a paint job a little better then a spay can. i have painted body parts with a spray can and they seems to come out alright.
what i want to know can i get away with a decent paint job with a 68 dollar gravity feed gun from walmart and rust oleum semi gloss oil base paint.
would this work.
thank you
I don't really know. Why don't you just spend, lets say, $150 and but the cheap paint at the parts store. If you live buy a NAPA they sell Crossfire which is really cheap and looks good for 5 or so years.
I painted a couple plow trucks with GLOSS Rustoleum paint - thinned with MEK...& filtered into a Binks 7....it works GREAT...dulls up a little in a couple years but can come back to gloss with some wax...IM NOT KIDDING.... not show quality but you can see yourself in the finish...good for utilitarian trucks that you want to look decent. I like the Black and Reds...my fisher plow gets the bright yellow
