Rust-Oleum Hammer Finish

I have several things I'm going to paint, including step bars, tractor mower deck, bumper guard. I was wondering if any one had any experience with Rustoleum Hammer finish paint?

I love the affect but...

There is no UV protetion. Expect the color to fade if it is exposed to the sun.

I used the Hammer finish on my mower deck and it looks better than when new. I disassembled the deck, power washed it, wet sanded/greeny pad it and used a degreaser detergent. Let it dry, and started painting with spray cans. First two coats I got up close for good coverage, then pulled back 12 inches for two coats to make it look even. Used two cans on a 42 inch deck with a third of a can left over. I went with gold over the original black so I could see better under there. Will do the step bars in black, but may undercoat the part I can't see.
