I have a 92 F-150 4X4, 5.8L, auto with overdrive and my 4X4 control switch is bad, both 4X4 and low range are bad. Power is getting to the switch, nothing out. dealers don't stock the part any longer and I have searched the net for one. Does anyone know where I may be able to find one? Thanks in advance. Billyzack
Try www.car-part.com. They don't have the switches listed, but I put in 4wd front housing, and at least that will tell you if they have a 92 4wd f150 on the lot. I picked a 354 ratio with abs, but you could select the others too. I got several hits in Arizona.

How do you know they don't stock it? Please don't take me wrong, but parts help stinks today. I betcha if you ask for the part number you won't get it.
WHY?
Because then the boob has to look up the number...suggestion, contact Ed at FTE sponsor y2kfordparts. Ed can check and see if it's truely obsolete, and do a search for you and give you the part number, and if all else fails, try Green Sales in Cincinnati Ohio (800-543-4959)
I have no parts books after 1989...but it looks like I better find some, because not a day goes by, when I see this same crappola about parts being "no longer stocked."
Edit: These are a b!tch to find in the book, and it has to be looked up under a transmission/transfer case in some cases (an ID code off your transfer case is also helpful). If the parts guy didn't follow these steps, and only took a minute to look...he didn't.
