climate control switch out

I would like to switch out my manual heat/AC controls for climate control. Can this be done? It's a 2000 V10 4x4. Is it just a switch of controls or is it a refab of the whole dash.

Landyot, I guess you and I are the only ones that have thought of this idea. I guess I'll start looking for a doner truck for this project and I'll let you know how it goes. - Bill

I checked the wiring diagrams in my Haynes manual last night. There are very significant differences between the two. There are more sensors, different solinoid assemblies, and the automatic has a climate control computer (EATC) that the manual does not have. From my quick look at it, the job would be significant and costly.
