Turning radius

Are there any adjustments possible to reduce turning radius? I need the complete two lanes when making a U-turn, hoping there is not a curb on the outside lane. I have been told by a some guys that there Bronco's can turn on a dime. (Matter of speech)

All I can tell you is that my 89 turns alot tighter than my 96. Considering your 94 is the same configuration as my 96, I doubt you'll get a whole lot more turning out of it. But their maybe an adjustment. I psoted back so that it would 'bump' this thread to the top. Maybe someone else can tell you, Honny?

8996,

Appreciate the reply and the "bump" up. Without any responses, they can drop fast. Plan on taking it into a shop, but wanted some info before going there. Again, thanks.

Do you have manual hubs or auto? From what I understand, with manual hubs you will have a much better turning radius. If you've got the auto hubs, then you're probably SOL unless you swap them...

I don't know about any adjustments but my 82 turns in a much smaller radius than my wifes 99 blazer 4x4. For a little vehicle it takes a lot of room to turn it around. - Mike

My 92 EB turns tighter than my 96 camry, and will there is no comparison to my 351capri. I believe they all have basically the same front end. on mine there are adjustable bumpstops located behind each front tire that the knuckle contacts when turned to the locks. there will be one on both sides, and a simple wrench should do the trick. I have not actually adjusted mine, but did notice them while scoping out the undercarriage. let us know if it works for you.

My 91 turns on a dime also. I drive an extended Ford Natural Gas E350 van for a service vehicle at work and it takes 2 blocks to turn around LOL. I don't really see how manual hubs or auto hubs would make a difference. I am by no means an expert but I can't see it affecting the steering. I do know that your turning radius is reduced in 4X4.

My '92 turns tight even with the big fat tires I have rubbing at full tilt, And the suspention should be the same from '92 to '96.
