Turning Radius

Anyone know what the turning radius is for the new Super Duty crew cab. I know my 2002 has a terrible turning radius. Just hoping for some improvement and praying it's not worse LOL.

I was really impressed with the turning radius on my F-350. Much better than 01 Sierra 2500HD. Between the better turning radius and the backup camera I can get into anywhere.

Compared to the '08-'10 trucks it's the same on my F250. I think '08 design was when the radius got really good. Back in 7/07 I switched from a Silverado 3500HD and quickly found that I could actually turn around in less than 6 rows of parking lot lanes!

2011 turns much tighter than my 04. Same configuration SB CC 4X4

Actually as long as you've got about 22 feet or whatever the length of your truck is, turning radius is a non-issue - fo sho.

I've been thinking and I think the turning radius issue was much improved when the front suspension was changed from leaf springs to control arms and coil springs. Maybe back in '04? I'm not really sure.

It was the 05 models that changed the front suspension. I switched from a Short Bed to Long Bed in 2006 because I could turn the longer truck in the same distance that I had become accustomed to in my older Short bed.

I'm still getting used to the wider turning radius. This truck is significantly harder to get turned around or even into parking spaces than my previoius vehicle. It was a 2003 GMC Yukon XL 2500 with Quadrasteer. Quadrasteer was clearly the best thing about the vehicle. It had almost the same turning radius as a Honda Accord Coup.

I love the truck. Just getting used to not being able to turn on a dime.

If you bump up to the 450 the radius is another 6 feet narrower, but then you also get the downsides (or upsides depening on situation) of the 450.

what is the difference of the turning radius between shortbed crewcab and longbed crewcab that is the question I would like to have answered if anyone knows.

Ok I have to give you that one but to be serious with the longer wheel base I would like to know if it is a huge difference or not. I really do want a long bed but not if it makes parking that much harder. Although if it is that hard my wife will never drive it so I would have that going for me.lol

F350 Crew Cab Short Bed: 53.5 ft. curb-to-curb turning circle
F350 Crew Cab Long Bed: 58.5 ft. curb-to-curb turning circle

Hope this helps. Could explain why brother says he long bed should come with a rudder.

My '01 F350 CC LB took like 6 lanes to make a U-turn.
My '06 F350 CC LB took about 5 (design moving in the right direction).
My '11 F450 CC LB does it in about 4 (amazing)!
Not very scientific, but you get the idea.
jfritz_drfritz is right, it literally makes me smile now!!
