I am planning on trailering a 35ft long x10 ft wide boat this summer and have been looking for information on any license requirements,I live in Pennsylvania and can't seem to find what I need. Does anyone know where I can find this?
Thanks Tout
You need to consider more than license requirements. There may be special wide load permits required for that 10 foot wide boat. That could get ugly because then you start having to do things like follow a special route specified on the permit and may require an escort vehicle running in front, behind or both.
Thanks for the comments so far, I emailed the PADOT with the questions. On their web pages it said anything over 10,000lbs would need a CDL class A with the exception of recreational vechicles, I just don't know if a boat falls into that.

Best suggestion would be to find a boat dealer close to you that sells that size of boats and go talk with them and ask what the customers usually do to get them around. They should have some experiance of what needs to be done.
