Hey guys, hope everyone is well. I need some help in regards to my windshield wipers on my 01 f250 PSD.
It started raining yesterday so I turned my wipers on low and for some reason after about 4-5 swipes back and forth, the wipers got stuck in the middle position. Now they will not work at all and the wiper is in my vision while driving. I check the fuses and they were fine. I also pulled/jerked on the wipers so what to try and move them - but it didn't help either. Could this be a switch problem or has the motor gone out (I think it must be a switch b/c both wiper blades are stuck)? Any other thoughts suggestions? Happened to anyone else? Reoccuring problems?
Try this first, turn the wipers on and take a hammer and tap the motor a bit. Might work so you can get the wipers down. You might have a bad ground inside. Did it on a Chevy the other day at work.
thanks powerstrokin007. tried it today, but unfortunetly did not work. Also, when I hit my washerfluid switch - the pump works fine spraying fluid - but the wipers don't work with it. does this mean it is definetly the motor? If it is- how hard is it to replace.
Might check to see if you have power going to it. If you have power but still no workie then replace the motor. Go to DirectFord Parts. Might be able to pick it up cheap.
