Bummer
Maybe you should insist on them replacing it if it keeps blowing off I would ! Thats what warranty is for. Funny the plastic one looks just like the one I had except for you have a sturdier clamp on it. Maybe it wasnt a recall but I thought thats what they wrote on paperwork. When mine blew off it but a little dent in my hood, not to mentioned scared the crap out of me going up a mountain, I thought the engine blew and I only had a couple thousand miles on it when it blew off the first time. You could always invest in the Banks intercooler system I guess. It comes with metal hoses and the rubber bushings, but it also comes with their (Banks) power elbow. I see you already have the good power elbow.
i called the ford and they would not replace it, because there were no current recalls on the 2006 ps, i think it would be really hard to blow the tube away from the intake elbow on my 2006, i had a hell of a time getting the factory elbow to come out of the groove on the plastic cac tubing and then another fun time getting the new intake elbow into the groove inside the black plastic cac tube, then on top of that its clamp down really tight over the groove with a band clamp..............but i rather have the metal tube it looks better, guess i will stay with what i got for now.
