Tire sizes (performance wise)
sfcwoodret: They're not off road tires. They're just 20mm wider contact patch and shy of an inch taller. Completely street tires only tho I have farmed a yard or two with them!
Ranger Pilot: No leveling kit, I replaced the front springs with what I'm pretty sure is springs for a reg 2wd, not splash. Wish I would have known whether or not there was a diff b4 i bought my current springs.
Tiggie: I think its probly part to do with the color scheme and wheels that make it appear to be lower. Sort of like the S-10 extreme's. I could be mistaken on the Ranger if someone knows any different!
RangerPilot: I definately touched every bit of my max payload once. Just like 1300ish lbs of steel in the rear of my truck parked for about 2 or 3 hours. I think that it took some arch out of my leafs.
dart7383: Thanks for the kind words. I live just north of Kansas City sorta in the country, so these 2 lane highways and S-curves and such are rather fun! I bought this off a guy that worked here at the Ford plant in Claycomo. He only used it to drive to work, but I bought it in a mess. Had to buff every inch of it cuz the clear was so faded from the sun.
RangerPilot: I've definately tossed around the idea of some sorta exhaust with my truck, just never really decided to spend the money. What might sound good on my truck with the 3.0? I dont want to wake the annoy the neighbors, but something thoughty and doesnt sound like *** at a high rpm. I went with the whitewalls to be different! I bought my truck with regular black firestone firehawks that were dry rotted, so I bought these current Goodyears. By chance I glanced and I happened to see they were turning the white letters towards inside and I hollared at them to turn the tires around and put it on. At the time I didnt have anything aftermarket on the outside and it helped to offset how BLACK it was.
RangerPilot(again and again! lol): Yes they are fiberglass bed sides. I'll take a pic of my rear suspension when I get the time this week. As I stated ^ up there I managed to de-arch my springs a we bit and they're nearly flat as it is right now.
I think that about covers all replies up to this piont.
PS! Does anyone know a way I could cheat out an inch or two from the front I-beams? Dont feel like dropping $350 on some drop "dream beams" and already have new springs as of about Novemberish. My dad picked and scrapped up my old sagged springs that were the equivalant to like a 2 inch drop. My front end looked GREAT but it rode like a 3/4 ton truck it hit bumps so hard.
On my '94 Splash 4.0 I'm thinking of a single in/ dual out Flowmaster exiting in front of rear tire like the Ford Lightning, I hope this will be along with headers and free flow cats.
You only replaced the factory muffler with a 40 series and left the stock pipe on? If/when I may do that I'd at least put a chrome tip on it. I'll have to look into that tho, check out my dimensions on my stocker and see what muff will fit in.

Beautiful finish. Best lookin' black truck i've seen in a while. y'oull love the look of the new tires.
