I agree, 7.3 guys, (Luke help me out here) list your dyno sheets and cost of mods. 6.0 guys do the same, then lets see what the totals in dollars and HP/TQ are? Would that be agreeable? The one part I don't think will ever be agreed upon is the dependability portion, not for at least 5-10 more years.
Hell.. This was entertaining for 9 pages.. Whoever wants a piece of the 6oh, just bring it down to CenTex.. We can line up at the track.. I'll be the truck at the end waiting with a cold beer for you
Heheh.. I'm just tired of the bickering.. Back and fourth about who's better then who.. Each person learns their own lesson in life.. Sure the 7.3 was a good block, so is the 6.0.. I know for a fact that my buddy who has a DP Tuner and a Wicked Wheel can't keep up with me.. We've already tested that theory.. I look at it this way.. If your going to compare apples to oranges, then take it to the track and prove your theory.. But this he said, she said b/s is childish.. I'm not saying 6.0 is better then the 7.3, nor am I sayin the 7.3 is better then the 6.0.. All I'm saying is prove it to me.. Put two vehicles modified the same next to each other.. Run the tree and see who comes out on top.. It's simple..
I'm more of a Science type of guy.. I rely on proven fact I see with my own eyes over ficitional mayhem drawn up from another..
But keep the fun going.. This is comical.. I'm enjoying it

No takers? Got awfully quite in here in a hurry. Darn that was easy.
*note disclaimer* I hate 7.3l's and modulars in superduties. I am also considered an ahole in general. I am ok with it, so don't bother pointing it out, I already know.
At least your up front and honest about it lol.

Best was actually 596/1200+ but the dyno op didnt put it on the sheet though. Cost.... uhh well alot.
nice, now if only we could get that guy with over 800 on nitrous with a 7.3 in here... it's been proven time and time again that the 7.3 will beat the 6.0 in all-out performance, towing, mpg, reliability, BUT it will not beat in bang for your buck...
I want some proven facts Glass. Your speculating, assuming, etc., Brian kinney's truck has thousands of dollars dumped into the motor to achieve those hp numbers, for that matter so does Luke and I. Bottom line is that if you were to put the same amount of money into a 6.0 you'd have something untouchable. Like my country brother from another mother Storm said, were comparing apples to oranges.

Well now, where has it been proven? Very few guys from the 7.3 world give a 6.0 the time of day. Who has even really (and I mean beyond a tuner and an exhaust) worked on a 6.0 platform other than Matt from Spartan? Tell me something else, cause I am really dying to know, why is it when someone with a 6.0 has something on a 7.3 then the 7.3 guys start touting the 12v cummins? WTF is that all about? (not that the 12V cummins doesn't have its due respect, cause it really is a very versital motor, and many people love it, even the 24v when set up is a great performer) This is why I have the attitude that I have. Just because 10,000 people quote what someone else has done, proves very little, show me what you have done with yours. Not what 2 people on the internet or in a magazine have done.
The guy camping next to me this weekend with a 7.3 said he wished he was getting the mielage his son gets with a 6.0. Its not the first time I have heard this statement while in an RV park. So then who do I believe? Who is right? Is FTE the only people to form an opinion from? See where I am going with this. He also commented about the torqshift and the towhaul feature. He could not believe how easy it was to tow with a 6.0/auto truck, compaired to his 7.3/auto. He is just one person, but several others have said the same thing here and out on the road.

those are both the exact opposite... nice job not making sense

what about "deranged ranger" it's a 2000 6.0 (in the making so i guess you'll have to give it time to see the results of a BUILT 6.0)
why is it when someone with a 6.0 has something on a 7.3 then the 7.3 guys start touting the 12v cummins? WTF is that all about?
because every 6.0 owner says "the 6.0 is the best engine ever" while the 7.3 owners say "the 7.3 is BETTER (in certain aspects) but nothing beats the 12v" you guys just take it the wrong way....
oh and by the way... the 6.0 has many more performance parts out there then the 7.3.... just look at turbos alone, we have what... 5 choices?? and MAYBE 1 twin turbo kit, while the 6.0 has NUMEROUS single turbos and a couple twins
