manual trans swap

is there a 5 or 6 speed that will bolt up in place of my 4sp in a 79 3/4 ton

I don't think there is one for an M block as it was discontinued before the 5 speeds came out.

Yes the zf 5 speed will work with light modification, it has been discussed here a few times, here's the links.

complete installation

solid runner what motor mounts did you use?? how did you build your trans mount crossmember and what you you do for a transfer case mount?? and what did you do for the 4x4 shift lever to come up through the original hole in the floor?? if you could post a few pics of that stuff it would be great, thanks
