Please can you help? I have a 78 Bronco, all my other lights work fine. Both headlights seem to have a major attitude problem. I just swapped out the switch, and it made no difference. Thanx!
My headlights don't work, high or low beams, all other lights work fine. If the dimmer is bad, is it hard to change? I have another 78 bronco as a parts truck....thanx
Not sure where it is on your 78 but most likely its on the floor to the left of the brake pedal. Otherwise its up on the turn signal stalk. The floor/foot switch is the most likely suspect since its the only other break in the circuit.
I had a similar problem in another vehicle with the dimmer switch on the floor.
It was the dimmer switch plastic plug assembly. The metal clips inside were rusty/corroded due to moisture over the years and weren't making good contact.
Replaced the plug and cured the problem! Good luck.
