passenger window can go down but needs help coming up
Hey all... My passenger side window can go down fine but going up it has immense trouble. I hear it jumping. Now I was able to take the old motor and crank outa of my friends older bronco. Is the problem due to the actual motor part or the teeth on the crank is worn out one way? is this possible? I can't see any problems with the track on the actual window.

I had one like this. The plastic gear is stripped(why don't they make it metal ). You can get the plastic gear at autozone, or the whole window motor.
In order to do either you'll have to take the motor out off of the door. In order to take the motor off you'll need to take off the paneling and then drill holes in the metal to get to the bolts. 1/2 inch if i remember correctly. It's pretty easy though and a Chiltons manual will tell you all the details. Or do a search and you'll find out the details on previous posts.
I would suggest getting a whole new motor($60 i think) b/c the gear($40) is almost as expensive and you have to take apart the motor a little. Plus if your motor is old it will likely go out within a few years anyway and I think they have a lifetime gaurantee on the motor but not the gear.

It is a 3 inch catback exhaust. The manafacturer for the muffler is by allied manafacturing. They manafacture a lot of mufflers and I got it for cheaper because it hasn't been distibuted to gibson, flowmaster etc. I just got my trailer hitch installed and it opens up behind the flip up license plate (help my departure angle some what). I got a light bar welded onto the rear tire gate. High lift mounts, and cb mount. Got my friend to fabricate them. I'll try to get them on the internet. later.
