Well, I have obtained a couple sixes... one is a latter 70's, one an early/
mid 80's. The first one has been already bored .040 and has a new head,
but rusted bores (10,000 miles then parked 1 1/2 yrs ) the other for
whatever i can use off it.
Oh, and i've found a home for the beast, too. A 1976 F250 2x4 with
the 4 spd. toploader. Really good shape, for North MN...

Will the MSD 6A cause a stock distibutor cap and rotor to wear more quickly?

The RIG...

Well, here it is. the new home for my hopped up six...
be-it a 250, somehow its on a 150 chassis, so i will
use the axle & etc from my E-250 klub-wagon ?/!

A little bodywork and paint, chrome stacks, and
this-&-that... pretty straight forward.

OK, instead of starting a new thread, ill try reviving this one...

Questions...

Is any one using crane cams #503905? how is it?

Shaved head?

Pin down the compression ratio, intake and exhaust, valves and rocker ratio and then ask the cam grinder which one to use.

Definetely go with a custom ground cam, only way to go. Cams aren't one size fits all, have it made for your setup.
