Has anyone tried to clean the inside of a Offy DP intake? What did you use and how well did it work? I have access to a glass bead cabnet to clean the outside but didn't figure it would work well on the inside.
NEVER HOT TANK aluminum!!! It will be "eaten alive"Find a aircraft engine reman facility ...they will have a "Hot parts washer" for aluminum. Then bead blast.
I cleaned an intake once with it, Id use a small amount of product when you mix it with water, too much and as I recall the aluminum turns white but cleans up find after that with soapy water. Just follow the directions. One things for certain, the super clean works very well. I soaked a pair of used heads in it once, took little effort with a brush to remove the carbon build up in the exhaust ports and chamber, you wont have that much trouble with your intake. Its also biodegradeable.
Now that I think about it, it may have been another product that turned the intake white. As I used the super clean alot cleaning the engine bay, I do remember that much...haha...which included an aluminum intake.
