Does anybody here use MSD 6 type ignitions on there rigs? I was thinking about buying an offroad MSD 6 for my 5.0 but they are about $250, do you think this is a good investement?

Not really worth it to be honest. I have a plain 6A that I got used for 40 bucks and don't notice much of difference between when it is connected and when it's not. Maybe a slightly smoother idle but not really any increase in power.

As long as both distributors have the same TFI module configuration (i.e. both remote mount, or both distributor mounted), yeah, just run the HO distributor with new cap and rotor.

Either one is probably ok. Try both, see which one you like better or if there is really any difference at all.

The factory TFI coil isn't a bad unit.

I wouldn't modify the wiring. Just go with the stock coil.
