C6 Shift Shaft Seal Replacement Help!
I have a 1986 F350 4X4 with C 6 tranny that has a bad leak around the shift/kickdown lever shaft. Can the seal or seals be replaced from the outside without have to take the pan, etc. off?
Also, according to Advance Auto Parts, there is only one seal. Is that correct?

Under the kickdown lever there is an o-ring. If thats where its leaking its a very simple part to change. If it is leaking at the case seal for the shift lever shaft its a little more difficult because the pan and valve body need to come off to remove the shift lever.
