Broken shock tower...

Does anyone know of a source for a new front shock tower? Mine decided it wanted to be free from the frame while I was driving home. Well at least half of it did. The truck is a 1982 F100 2WD. I would just as soon buy something new if avalable but of course there is always the junk yard. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

You might try the Ford dealer. I had a rear spring hanger bracket break off(rust) and the local Ford dealer had one in stock for about $40.00. I just had to drill the rivets out and bolt the new one on.

i would try ford first i know they carry the rear shock mounts for them cause i had to replace mine due to RUST!!!!!!

LMC Truck will have them. I had to replace the reat towers on mine also.

no luck with LMC... they have parts for the rear, but nothing for the front... nothing at the dealer either. Thanks anyways though.
