The chains are a pro setup. The are used on autoaxle to track conversion setups like snowcats and trail groomers. They limit articulation and are usually only on wide track tire drives. I'm not sure exactly what purpose they serve on a truck.
I agree the body is in great shape or appears that way. That suspension is a lot more than 6" and is going to kill some one. My dog could have done that better.
