Words can't explain what is going through my mind right now. I really wondered what "axle chains were", easy to see in the picture. They are obviously devices installed to prevent extension of the suspension. That must ride very well that way. Perhaps they are a new musical instrument. They appear to be tighter than banjo strings! If it is good enough for the rear, it must be good for the front, I see there is some interesting use of chain up there too. Then again mayby they were installed to keep those driveshafts from falling out. Taken into consideration all of those shocks, the suspension probably does not move too much anyway. The builder did a great job of installing those shock mounts straight I see.
The seller claims, a very strong drivetrain, I believe "about as strong as it gets". Yeah, that 9" rear and the 44" up front look like real winners. I am on the fence between the mounting points for the rear ladder bars, or the use of sooooo many blocks, or that slapper style spring thingy, that sits just under the main spring out back. I am done for now, but hey, for 16 grand you too can have something to start with. After you rip it all apart, and do it right, one may only have to invest another insane amount of money to really have the truck that the seller described. I will give it credit for being clean though.
Those kinda make me laugh a little.

I hope whoever buys it tears the whole driveline down and starts over.

The guy says it professionaly done. I really hope a shop didn't let that thing out the door. The body is in great shape though.

Wow, what a sad waste of a great-condition body. I like the traction bars that go up all the way to the radius arm brackets, the stacked blocks, and the half-leaf springs in the back (I dont know what the heck those are). This is such a great find!! hahahahahaha

I wonder how terrible off-center the front axle is, as the spring in the last picture bows out about an inch or so. God forbid you ever have to replace shocks, but you shouldnt with those axle chains, it wont move too much.

I'd probably offer him 3,000 and then sell it all for parts and use the body

i guess them chains bolted to the axles double as sway bars and to help the body from falling off?? Nice body..i could use that minus everything else.

you know, looking at the suspension, it kinda makes me wonder about the rest of the truck. you know that the retardation didn't only go into the suspension. there has to be all sorts of suprises in that truck. I would like to have the body though... or at least the paint job. wonder how much bondo is in that truck. I must say, I do think that the headliner is kick a$$ though.

Actually he claimed suspension. I would say that it would be real strong with 10 inches of blocks... wonder how strong it would be when one of those blocks goes shooting out the back of the truck... no wonder he needs 10 foot long ladder bars.

With the side picture, I -thought- it looked like the rear axle was much wider then the front. It is not because ...

What I loved was the angle of front driveshaft bent towards the driver's side outside, that must give a nice vibration free ride. Which probably explains the three front stab. shocks for the steering.

fwiw: The chains are so that super long length front brake hose does not get ripped from the axle. Probably sounds like Ghost from Christmas past going down the street.

Really show quality with holes in the door panel grilles.

Electrical tape around the steering column and no directional stalk.

Yep, this truck has it all to be show quality (in Riceswania).
