Bronco tail-lights
Hi i have an 81 fullsize bronco with many mods to it, my next little project is to put altezza rear tail lights on, but they only make them for the bronco's from 90-96 . my question is, are the tail lights the same in a 90-96 bronco as mine an 81 ? they seem to look the same will they bolt up ? thanks flexkyle@hotmail

Someone posted a similar question the other day. To the best of my knowledge, tailights all the way back to 80 should be fairly interchangable the difference is in the type of lamp they use. at some point, Ford switched from 1156 (backup - single filament) lamps and 1157 (stop, turn, tail) lamps to the 31 series wedge based lamps, i.e. 3156 and 3157 respectively. I don't believe this poses any interchangability problems since the holes for the lamp sockets in the lens assembly didn't change as far as I know.
