I got my new fuel pump and am about to put everything back together. I am thinking about replacing the sending unit. It is not bad but since i have it apart I was thinking preventive matinence I also stand by the motto if it isnt broke dont fix it. What do you guys think?
It sucked, but it was not as bad as I thought. They use some kind of thread lock on the bolts and not having my air compressor hooked up yet (still building garage) it was tuff getting the bolts off. I used a floor jack to lower the tank and since my truck is lifted I think that made it easier to do. I was thinking about cutting out a hatch in the back of my bronco so next time it would be easy to replace. You could seal it and fabricate some kind of hinge or just bolt it down. Just a thought.
Steve83 I would like to check out that web site about the access door. If you happen to come across it email it to me or post it please. Fuel pump replacement would be a breeze with this setup. On my f150 we took the bed off to replace the fuel pump it was easy that way. Thanks
