I hope that DR comes out with a 4.5" kit for the 08's soon as mine is due to come in March. I have their kit on my current 03 and love it.

That's what this is. A Donahoe Racing (DR) 4.5" kit on this 08. It's out...Call DC

Edit: I see now, the sway bar links were custom. Excuse my ignorance....

My 08 arrives in March as well. Considering the larger wheel wells can I fit 37's without a lift? Eventually a DR lift will go on once R+D is done.

Can you take pics of the sway bar mods and other suspension issues? Some close-ups would be nice.

Great looking truck. two questions if you dont mind....

First, whats the deal with the warranty if you only put a 2.5 kit on and 35's because the actual tire that comes with the truck is almost a 35

Second, how does it ride? In regards to comfort and handling

37s won't fit without a lift. On the 4.5" we pulled the inner fender liner back on it.

Here's 35s with a 2.5" DR:

Warranty will vary by dealer. If they can prove that the lift and tires caused a problem, they may not cover it.

As far as ride, it rides as good or better than stock, IMO.

I'll see what I can do as far as pics...the trucks are already gone though. And DR , is working quick on making the pieces to make these kits a true bolt on deal soon.

Nice truck!! I really dig the tires. They look very aggressive. I usually prefer a little more sidewall though. Call me old fashioned, but I don't get the larger diameter wheels. What's wrong with 15"?

Well actually...15" wheels would not fit over the brakes. That is really one of the BIGGEST reasons for the 17" and 18" wheels on 1/2 tons. They are installing larger brakes as OEM equipment. Which is a good thing...IMO.

Now for the SD's...same reason there...larger brakes.

Yea, 18's on 37's would look better. The big wheels and no sidewall make me think of ballet slippers, escecially if the wheels are chromed.

Can you actually get 37's on a 4.5" lift on the 08 w/out trimming?

What are the wheel specs on those Diamo's and are the Kuhmo's a 37X12.5?

Thanks.

I hadn't really thought about the brakes, but now it makes a little more sense to have 17" or 18". I'm still not convinced that there is any benefit to having larger than that. I have 16" wheels on my truck and the brakes look massive. I can't imagine on having brakes big enough to require 20" or larger. I understand that a lower profile tire will have more stability during high speed maneuvers but a 4x4 F350 is a bit too top heavy for that anyway.

Thanks for the "heads up".
