2008 SD on 37s...

Hey Guys & Gals,

Marty and the crew at the shop just finished up a 4.5" Donahoe Racing lift (customized) on a 2008 with 37" Kuhmos and 20" Diamos.

SWEET!!! I dig those Kumho's. I've seen them before but their hard to find around here.

DC, do you have any feedback on the Kumho's?? Have your customer's liked or disliked them??

Truck looks great. You guys do top shelf work!!

Dave

Thanks for the compliments.

We've gotten great feedback on the Kuhmos so far.

Marco (one of the shop techs) has over 25k on some 37s and they still have a lot of tread left/ hardly show any wear.
Steve (another shop guy) runs the 38s and is very pleased with them.

Noise wise, they are slightly louder than Toyos when new.....but after about 5k on both, the Kuhmos are slightly quieter.
And of course, they are priced pretty well when compared to the other tires available.

I was going to run some 38" Kuhmos on my truck....but came across a steal on some slightly used 40" Toyos and I couldn't pass them up.

DC --

That is a GREAT look for that '08 SD! The height is PERFECT! Did your shop have any "issues" with the install? Or was it a straight forward approach?

Thanks for the compliments.

On the 2008....there are a few things that are different.

The trac bar bracket is different.....but since the 4.5" DR uses an adjustable trac bar, it works.
The sway bar setup is different....so custom sway bar links.

In the rear, the leaf springs are longer, but the DR 4.5" uses blocks...so that wasn't an issue.

08 wheel wells are bigger...hence fitting the 37s (they did pull back the inner fender liner too).
