Geez, and just when I was thinking how nice a little town Oakdale was and that I could stand to live there...talk about killing off all my little warm and fuzzies!
(Note to self: Self, throw away those Stanislaus county real estate ad papers...turns out Mike has homicidal tendencies and you don't really want him for a neighbor after all... )
Well, whatever is more convenient for you is fine with me. I am still waiting for my neighbor to get back from his latest cross country haul so he can smog this beast. I am hoping that will happen sometime this week. Between the rising gas prices and the expired temp sticker, I don't drive the truck too much anymore. Just to the store to get groceries. So I am saving money in not buying gas.
I'll drag the trailer down behind the F250 on Sat. the 31st for the meet in Lodi, afterwards I'll head on down towards Clint's and find a place to crash (probably in the back of the truck) with an eye towards loading the project truck on the trailer on Sunday morning and then dragging it back up here.
Does this plan meet with everyone's approval? Clint? How 'bout you?
If you have to come to Fresno please consider staying in my home - we have a guest bedroom. It is loaded down with dolls and frilly curtains, but does have its own bath - full of candles. Lots of antique furniture, (even I need a step ladder to climb into bed!) and maybe even silk sheets - nigher I nor the cats have been allowed in it for years, but I am sure it has everything needed to make a gearhead comfortable.
But let me fool around a bit more - I am trying to get the truck to Mike's, which will save you several hours of driving. I still need to remove the engine stored in the box, and to put a few bolts in the front end. The real killer is lifting the hood into place.
