Winch solenoid

a buddy just installed a MM8000 on his 06 wrangler unlimited. with the solenoid mounted with the included bracket, the brush gaurd won't clear it. He wants to relocate the solenoid box elsewhere. how would we go about doing that. could we just buy longer cables and just bolt the two ends together? or will be have to run new cables all the way from the box?

Not recommended, though it would work.

Best way.

If these are 2 gauge cables from the sol. to the winch motor I would keep the cables as short as possible to avoid voltage/amp drop and overheating.
