I just bought a 94 Bronco XLT. So far...Love it! I am looking to upgrade the sound system. Does anyone know what the stock speaker sizes are? Or even what speakers will fit - Front and rear? Any info is appreciated.
5x7's fit in the 6x8 hole . Go with the 5x7 for sure because there is only like maybe 5 at the most choices as far as 6x8 speakers, but there are hundreds of 5x7's to choose from. I d suggest anything from Infiniti or Alpine, they both make good 5x7's. Stay away from the pioneer 6x8 mine suck really bad, the factory speakers sounded better(in the 94 ranger). Kenwood's 6x8 3-ways are decent, but id still say buy infinity 5x7.
I put 6x9" Sony Xplod's in my Bronco. They don't go in the hole, but it looks alright anyway. Looks actually kinda cool with the speaker over the hole, heh. I bet I have some pics

Thanks for all the info! I had infinity speakers in my last vehicle (5-1/2" and 4"x6" with 10" sub)and loved them! I think thats what I will stick with.
No it doesnt line up perfectly. But I think that the adapters are cheap and easy to find(they might even be free with the speakers). Actually, it might screw in with some work without the adapters, I dont remember....
Use 5x7s in the back thats what I did. They fit better and you won't notice any sound difference and I just replaced the front ones this past weekend with 6 1/2s. I tryed my 6x9s and you'd have to do some reconstruction to make them fit. The stock ones are 5x7s and 6 1/2s.
Also, I have Eclipse speakers all around and I think(just personal preference) that they sound better. They aren't everywhere you can find them on ebay and special car audio places in the northeast Tweeter seems to be one of the only places that has them. There also on the web www.eclipse-web.com
