There are two types, the only difference is the number of mounting holes.

I believe the original had 4 mounting holes, but you better verify, who knows what might be in there now.

C9AZ-18808-F .. Radio Speaker / 5" x 7" / 4 mounting holes / 8 ohms.

C9AZ-18808-G .. Radio Speaker / Same as above, except 2 mounting holes.

This size speaker is used on 100's of cars and trucks (from all the manufacturers, not just Ford) from 1956 thru today, and is available everywhere.

I have to say you have one really sharp looking pickup! I love the color combo, but I am partial to the Rangoon red and Wimbledon white as I painted my 65 the same color. I do have to say I wish my pickup looked as good as yours!

There's two *****, and a disc (to change the tone).

The two ***** are different from each other.

The difference is the left **** is shorter to accomodate the disc.

C6TZ-18817-B .. Radio ****-Right (Green Sales has 4 of these, zero on the others)

C3TZ-18817-A .. Radio ****-Left

C3TZ-18830-A .. Radio **** Disc-Tone Control

Does anyone know how the speaker was mounted to the dash? My dash has no holes or any means of attaching a speaker inside or out????

Im not sure how the factory did it but, when I removed my radio, I found the speaker sitting on top of it. It was rotten so, I went in search of a 5x7 speaker and couldnt find one locally. I bought a 5 1/4" speaker at Wally World and bolted it through the grill slots on the dash with some small machine screws and nuts. Mine has a padded dash so, it had a seperate speaker grill that mounted on top of the pad. It worked fine.

All the 1961/66's have the speaker grill. With/without a radio, padded dash or otherwise, it's there.

No radio: What's not there is the U shaped bracket to hold the speaker to the dash, it came with the radio factory installed or in the accessory radio kit available at the parts counter.

Looking for an original radio? The big trucks, including the C Series tilt cabs used the same radio thru 1972.

Swap Meets & ebay: If you see a NOS radio kit (comes with the antenna) with the big truck part number of D2HZ-18805-BA, that's the correct one for 1961/66 pick 'em ups.

The antenna (C3AZ-18813-C) is the same one the 1963/64 Galaxies used, and has been reproduced.

Is that only for F100's or all trucks, because my wife's 64 F250 doesn't have the grill. Not a big deal, just happen to notice the other day. Thanks.

Hey cliff Nice truck noticed that you had an A/C unit mounted under the dash If you don't mind me asking where did you get one from. I live in SC and it get's pretty hot here in the summer as well as it does there in Texas. I would really like to find one from my truck before summer hit's here. I preferr the dash mounted so I don't have to bother with putting a compressor and all under the hood. if you know what I mean Thanks

It was installed by the selling dealer in 1966. It is a Rotunda and, like all underdash AC's, it has a compessor on the engine and condensor in front of the radiator. The underdash unit is the blower motor and evaporator contained in one unit. There are a number of aftermarket underdash AC units avalible.

Uhh no they don't.......

the 65 and 66 cabs have the only dash with the speaker knockouts. Meaning pre punched slots. The grill was added with the padded dash for these years. without it it was just the slots carrige bolts and speaker.

A 61 to 64 will have a punch out of the dash in what ever flavor either the line or the dealer had in the way of a grenlee...A speaker cover of stamped steel was added and it is not the same as the later 65 66 units. Trucks with no radio have no openings....

Most trucks went to the dealer without a radio and one was added by the dealer to dress up the plain jane trucks. Some look like a badger made the opening in the dash top. I have seen square, triangular round and oval holes...

He's right. My 64 regular cab has neither a speaker opening or a radio opening. Just smooth steel.
