They may not replace what you had but they should give you replacement cost for factory equipment. When you add that up it should help.

Man I understand. Mine was gone for three days and I had already starting shopping then cops found mine. Electronics were all gone as well as everything behind the seat, oh and the 4 wheeler in the bed.

Got everything back together and had no mechanical damage. But, its just not the same truck that it was. Feeling violated is probably the right word.

Found out you can take a standard #2 screw driver and a hammer to unlock the door.

My 1999 did not have the chipped key, so they used the same screwdriver to jam into the ignition switch and drove off. So much for safety. Oh yeah, I had a Club locked on the steering wheel. They froze the lock with liquid nitro and broke it off with the hammer.

When they want it, they will usually get it or tear the heck out of it. Tearing the heck out of it would be better, at least the SOBs didn't get away with it. I get great satisfaction catching car thiefs. Of course the system does not keep them where they belong nowhere near long enough.

Nothing funnier than walking up and saying "take the screwdriver out of the ignition, and step out of the vehicle." Sadly, sometimes that is actually the owner.
