Two questions for new Expy owner

I'm about to become a new Expy owner but you could use some advice on two areas:

1) My father's company is selling off one of its Expys at trade-in value: a loaded 03 XLT 4x2 4.8L with 129k miles for $7,000. It's loaded inside, leather, etc. Body is perfect -- dark green with factory hitch -- but there's a couple of minor blemishes inside, no big deal. Car was well maintained, and the miles are mostly Florida highway. Mechanic can't find anything wrong. Is this a good price for the truck?

2) What is the deal with dusting and the brake pads? Will I know if I'm using the old type of brake pads and, if so, will Ford change this for free?

Thanks.

1.) Ditto

2.) No. Go with ceramic pads; less/no dusting on rims.

Never mind, found it in your gallery. I like that bumper guard.

Price is right as long as you use it solely for a people-hauler. The 4.6L will struggle if you try to tow anything of any significance. The 2wd is a little restrictive. But this is coming from a guy who tows a heavy trailer in the Rocky Mountains.
