Electrical issue at start
I just started having a slight electrical issue at startup. I turn key and wait for light to go off, before starting. My radio/clock is on cuts out and then comes back on. WTS light goes off and truck starts without a problem, this just started and have no idea what is causing, also elecric brake lights flash strangely also sometimes at start. how do you find this if its a short??? 2000 ex, hypertech chipped no other mods, battery's replaced recent.

disconnect the battery.remove the trim panel so you can get to the fuse box under the steering colume.remove the 2 connectors from the back of the fuse box and position them out of the way.remove the 2 nut and 2 bolts that hold the fuse box to the dash.and the last step is to disconnect the connecters to the gem module that rides piggy back on the fuse box.after you get the fuse box out look at where the big connecters go and you might see some green corrosion at the very bottom.tapp the fuse box upside down on your hand at the terminal area and see if water comes out .if it does you will need a new fuse box.cost around 170$ from the dealer.you will have to find the sorce of the leak.either the windsheild has a skip in the sealer or you have a marker light on the roof leaking and running down into the box. good luck.

Fixed, "Electrical issue at start"
Turns out it was the Alternator, It was only putting out 7amps charging. everything now seems ok, Thanks for the suggestion. I will keep an eye on the fuse box going forward.
