found someone selling a set of flowtech headers that will fit my 92 F150 302. are these any good and is it worth the gains to put them on, or should i jsut spend the money on beer???
I have a set of shorties for my 5.4l, waiting till the summer to put them in. Only problem I see is they are not ceramic coated, I think I'll sand blast them and get them done before putting them in.
A buddy of mine is putting a set of Flowtech headers on his 88 Chevy Suburban 4wd with a 350 SBC. We have been having some fit and finish issues with them. The flanges are rough and uneven, weld quality isn't the greatest, and we had to do some grinding on them so the bolt holes line up properly. On the other had another friend of mine installed a set on his 79 Plymouth Trail Duster with a 318 with minimal problems. If the price is right I would get them, as long as you are willing to deal with some fitment problems that may arise. I have a set of Hedmans on my 84, and they went right on without a hitch. Hmmm beer or headers? Damn that's a tough call!

they are new and he wants $50 for them. i can get the installed reasonable just wondering if the gains are worth it or should i look elsewhere. i'm not trying to make a race truck but more power is never bad!!! of course good beer is nevr bad either!!

You won't be disappointed with the performance, headers will help you throughout the entire rpm range... plus you should pick up a couple mpg. I gained very noticeable low end torque and better mid and higher end power after installing a header on my 300 six. For $50 brand new I would buy them and I don't have a 302, that's a good price!
