I wouldn't unless you are planning on big engine changes. You could do daul exhaust, headers, nice stereo, temperature mirror, new seat, new cab mat, some autometer gauges, new wheels and tires, air conditioning if you don't have it, PA Performance alternator upgrade, spray in bed liner, bumpers. The speed density system works great for what it is, not worth the money if you never plan to do big head, cam, intake swaps in my opinion.
It is a great toy if you are staying stock; the instant throttle response is nice. It opens a lot more options if you are planning on upgrades.
You can get a LOT cheaper by getting the fuel injection harness from a 89-93 Mustang, A9L or A9P ECU, and MAF meter and air box. EBay has all of those items if you have the patience.
Personally it was the best money I'd spent on mine so far. I wasn't looking for astounding power gains, just more drivability. I got that and a bit more, seat of the pants, power anyway. Before MAF it had the throttle response of a lawn mower. It clattered at the sight of a hill and would buck like a mule if you lugged it even a little. I constantly had to go to a lower gear and rap it out where now I often forget to gear down when I should.
I went with the Ford kit for convenience. $650 seemed like a lot to me, at the time, but I haven't regreted it for a minute.

and those 2 computers will work with the electronic transmission
If a machinist puts a cam in your motor that is not speed density compatible then it is well worth it...I am speaking from experience.
Any way you look at it the MAS system is better. The price of admission is the only downside and whether or not it is "worth it" is a personal decision.
No modifications aside. Do spend on kit alot of 94 up 302 had MAF so the parts are there,
I only went MAF because had parts truck that was. But my truck runs better, and gets average 2 miles better milage. I drive 500+ miles week you do math. I poped the top off intake and installed. And I have 45000 mile receips for this truck. Piece you own Maf together. I did nothing else. There is excellent post how to do it on here. I have 550000 miles on different speed density (14+)trucks , they do run fine but wouldn't have one without MAF now. But thats me. Good luck
im planning on upgrading the cam not too much just for some more lower end toruqe to help move the 33s off the light without bogging down really bad, i plan on adding headers and duals, maybe some head work change over to the 1.6 or 1.7 roller rockers, do a tranny overhaul and put in the transpak from b&m. this is my first ford, ive always owned toyota and hondas but i got tired of how they drive in the snow and ice
you will get better gains from gears running those tires then trying to build the motor to move em. http://rjminjectiontech.com/?p=26 has an overlay harness so you dont need the mustang setup. will still require the proper ecu though.
^Agreed...I would start with the gears and some bolt-on parts (headers, exhaust, etc...) first before tearing into the motor. You can also bump up the base timing which will give it a little more "kick" down low, and that's a free mod too.
Ryan (RJM) has not been the easiest person to get a hold of here lately...good luck.
