Headers 55 F100?

I need a bit of help... I am building a 55 F100 and have a 351 out of a 90 Van.. I have talked to Summit and Jegs about the headers I need and neither seem to know... If anyone has any insight as to what will fit please reply... I would like to use long tubes if possible... I have seen 460s in these trucks so I don't get why it is soo hard to find the correct headers for a 351W...

Another question: I am considering pulling the body off and putting it on a newer frame.... Is there a frame that is a plug and play... perhaps something with disc brakes and power steering. Any information would be greatly apreciated..

Nothing that I know will be even close to plug n play. I have an 80 Merury car clip on my 56.
It is easier to clip it or to add disc brakes/power sterring to the 54 frame.

SniperLaw - Welcome to FTE!!!

Ed Krebs (Imlowr2) used Sanderson headers to clear his stock steering, etc. in his 56. Many others here have used Sanderson headers on their FSB and 351's and they are happy with them. I also understand that their customer service is very good. Here's a pic of Ed's setup:

There is no such thing as an easy frame swap. It is a daunting task that takes a great deal of fabrication expertise. Some on the forum have done it, but it is not for the faint of heart. Here's an excellent article written by one of the members (Nathan) who did it:

Try Sanderson, they had an application for my 53 with a 360 FE. Had a few modifications to the engine mount and had to make a new bung hole for the dipsick in the rear sump Canton oil pan. They look sweet and sound even better.

Sniper,

What type of frame are you looking for? Some of the frame builders out there make some that will come as close as possible to a "plug and play". I would call the guys at Sacramento Vintage Ford and see what they have, or Walton Fabrication.
