DVR software
Hey guys,
I have an HP media center pc with a tv tuner card in it. it originally had windows mce 2005 on it. it now has vista rc1 thanks to hp and there unique brand of idiocy. i am looking for a free program that i can use to watch tv on the computer. the computer recognizes the tuner card and it works with windvr3, but i dont want to pay for that if i dont have to.
any ideas?

Also, what TV tuner are you using? The manufacturer might have the software that you can download to use it in Vista.
You're in uncharted waters with Vista as your OS. I'd go back to HP and tell them to get you XP MCE back on there.

well, hp wont give it back to me because i had to replace the motherboard due to the caps on the old one exploding and they had it tattooed. i refuse to send the computer in to have them run a 2 minute program on it. now my recovery disks dont work and i dont have an off the shelf version of mce. i had vista rc1 on a dvd to try, but hadnt yet, now i have it on there.
