i have managed to track down and fix nearly every water leak in my '80 Bronco except one. This one has me buffaloed.
This past fall, I removed the vinyl floor and the padding underneath. I patched some small holes in the floor and Herculined the entire floor.
Whenever it rains, a puddle forms on the driver's side floorboard. Apparently, it is dripping down from under the dash, but I am d#%*ed if I can figure it out. Is this a leak of the windshield seal? Do I need to pull the windshield--or have it done at an auto glass shop--and have it reseated?
i'm trying to track down some leaks myself and found a windshield leak... i think, but than again maybe the a-pillar to roof body seam. take the plastic trim down from around the windshield and give it a good look while some one shoots it with a hose or when its raining. good luck, with all the leaks i found i'm surprised my 96 didn't sink yet.
I had a 67 mustang that did the same thing, but both floor boards would be under water. Turned out to be the cowl area had rusted and was letting the water in. This area catches a lot of water and a small hole would let in a lot. I recently pulled the cowl cover off my 88 Bronco to change the wiper motor and found all kind of crap in there and it allowed the water to lay there and would allow it to rust.
Same thing going on here with my '86. I found where it's dripping from, but I havent found the source yet. Mine is coming from the A pillar down. I saw a very slight stream coming down the trim and then dripping onto the floormat. I'll have to tend to that pretty soon.
Leak upper corner windshield , After playing seal the seams I had my winshield broke . After install no leak. Local glass shop charges $50.00 to take out and reseal windshield and they will come to you. Good luck
