I have water resting on the passenger side of my dash making a puddle and water dripping from the pillar handle on the driver side and just noticed yesterday i also have water coming from the driver side somewhere but im not sure where. Its down by the floor matts on the driver side. I also noticed a water run look going down the inside of my front windshield and i see some rust under the paint where the window seals to the cab on the passenger side. I'm convinced the windshield needs to be resealed. Am i on the right track?! Or does someone else have a better idea to try first?
Sorry, I can't help you with the windshield leaking repair, maybe a glass company in your area. I do know that if any water gets into the electrical system such as, gauge cluster, fuse box, head light switch, PCM, it can cause havoc and give you a real headache. Try to do it sooner than later with winter approaching.
I can't say for sure on your vehicle, but both my 03's needed windshields. the one I have now leaked onto the dash over the steering wheel, and the old one leaked down inside the pillar handle to on top of my fuse box. both stopped leaking with new windshields
I just had my windshield replaced a couple weeks ago and the tech showed me pic of the top frame where the windshield rest was all rusted. He fixed it w/ wire wheel and slapped primer on so it would seal. He showed me so I knew there was no warranty for leaks because of this. you may be able to caulk it but really need to fix it right or you wont have a place to mount your shield.
i just got the truck back from having the windshield replaced. hopefully this is all good. im going to run the hose on it for a while and see what happens. ill post a reply to confirm its fixed.
