AC Compressor Problem

My 1986 F-150 300 CU. Air Conditioning Compressor was dealer installed with a compressor called a pancake - which is no longer available. It was called a throw away; any way to update with new compressor replacement?

I would suspect you can find a compressor and brackets in a junk yard. The compressor may not be terribly cheap unfortunately.
