I just installed the blue CPS and I am really pleased with how it performs. Truck has maybe a little more horsepower but a definitely noticable increase in my torque. Seems like I dont have to stay on the pedal as much. Also this truck has never idled this good ever. No shimming required just took out the black and put in the blue.
The blue CPS is a cam senso foe the navistar DT444E and DT466 inline 6, but when used on our powestrokes it modifies our timing and sends a stronger signal to the computer making the truck run smoother, better, and with more power and efficiency. Some guys dont have luck with using them but i really like it.

Right....it has a stronger magnet, thus picking up the signal a hair quicker. Actually will advance timing a bit. Works good for some.....others not so good.
The blue CPS is sold by International Harvestor and sends a stronger signal to the computer usually resulting in smoother idle and perhaps better power. However, many tunes/chips are based on the black CPS sold by Ford and will provide better performance than the blue one when used in conjunction with a tuner/chip.
true blue that is a VERY good idea. I keep one in my glovebox along with a gpr. It only takes a couple of minutes to change as you probably know, but could be a major headache if suck without one.
true blue, I put the blue cps in my truck with a ts 6 pos switch and it smoothed out, quited down and improved overall performance slightly. the big difference was smoother idle. So just cause you have a chip doesn't mean it won't work
