I would think the dealer checked anything that would leak since they supposedly know the engines. I would look at EGR cooler if I knew where it was. Could you tell me what it looks like? Best I can tell, the leak originates around the area between the block and the head on the passenger side. There is no evidence of a leak seen from above the engine anywhere and certainly nothing I can see on the A/C system. Worst part is, there is not much leak today and the reality is you just can't see much in that crammed engine compartment. Since Beachbumcook told me what the buzz is (lasts 30 seconds- I checked) there isn't any point taking the truck to the dealer to have it sit all day and have them tell me they can't find the leak again. Sounds like I just gotta wait it out.

OK - truck went back for the leak. Prior to taking the truck in I photo'd all evidence of a leaks that I've described. I took the truck in and met the same arrogant stubborn service guy and got the service managers card. I then, emailed my situation (I am being screwed around by Dealer) and supplied them with the pics. In the meantime, I get a call from Mr. Arrogance Stubborny stating the leak doesn't exist and to come see for myself. I ask did they pressure check, did they use a dye and a blacklight? Oh yeah, says Mr. Arrogance. Let's see, they had the truck on their lot for just one hour when I got this call. Does anyone think they rushed it right in and did these tests in time to call me within one hour? I don't! Haven't heard back from service manager.
Also emailed Ford Corporate and now I'm running "guns blaz'n". My next thought is take it to the automotive shop accross the street and bill Ford.
Is this type of treatment normal? Does anyone think I should pick the truck up knowing it still leaks. I'm going to try and post the pics of the leak in my gallery.

As the saying goes " go have a second opinion" still holds true. Go to another ford dealer that sells a lot of diesels. Good luck. Keep us posted..
