Confusing Coolant issue 08 6.4

Sure are enjoying this group & looking through the past post is good reading .
I'm looking again for a little guidance ... My new to me 08 6.4 had a slight coolant drip from the driver side lower rad area ... I have the truck booked in to our local Ford dealer for poss new stat, rad & flush of system cost aprox $2k .
I'm happy for this 2 go ahead , but the drip has stopped , well it seems to have ,no loss of coolant & no more drip ..
I find it hard to believe the rad would leak & then not , what do you guys think , could it be something else ? . We are sparingly using the truck until it gets looked at .
Thanks in advance

I'm dropping the truck off at the dealer in the morning ... I guess I should be making sure they do a pressure test first & a flush ...
I want my truck right & reliable ... But don't want a $2k bill for the fun of it .

Thanks for the input though .

2k for radiator YIKES! take it elsewhere. They can spit out the cap sometimes especially if a little too full.

Well I agree ... May be a after market rad & parts .. May be Sid Jim Dave or Bart's back street repairs can get that job a bit less $$ ... But I want a warranty & they will be giving me 12 months with this work .

It's just a simple radiator job. I can do all that in about 1.5 hours. Warranty for what........whatever.

I would agree on doing the rad, upper and lower rad hoses as well as T-stats. The T-stats and hoses are updated parts from Ford. Those barking about the 2K bill to do the repair need to bear in mind the majority of the cost of all that is likely in parts alone. Also remember that us Canadians do get raped on the cost of parts compared to what you guys South of us pay.
