jerks trans?
My 99 expy (4.6, 4wd, 82k) periodically gets a "clunk" in the drive line. It feels somewhat like drive line lash-up, as if I was in 4x4 on drive pavement. Just as I come to a complete stop, there is a clunk. When starting back up again, there is a hesitation of something in the drive line engaging. It doesn't happen all the time. Its worst just after doing extended highway driving.
I had the tranny fluid flushed at 52k and thinking it is time to do it again.
Is it likely to be something in the tranny, or should I be looking somewhere else too?

Not too long ago I was getting a jerky sensation in my 99 expy. I thought it was my tranny but turned out that my fuel injector was almost completely clogged. I had over 100,000 more miles on my expy though. I will recommend to NOT take it to an AAMCO transmission shop. On my previous problem the told me I needed a new transmission for just $3400. I asked a local mechanic to look at the tranny and he discovered the dirty injectors and cleaned out them out for $65 and everything ran fine.
